Other Grist Mills
The Glade Creek Grist Mill in Babock State Park, West Virginia, is one of the United States most photographed grist mills. A photograph of this mill was the inspiration of the name of our family business and our unique bas-relief Gristmill mural that hangs in our eating area. The mural is a stunning and original rendition of the classic Glade Creek Mill.
The Old Sturbridge Village website has some lovely animated diagrams depicting different water powered turbines and mills.
The Grist Mill at Keremeos Creek is Canada's oldest surviving water powered grist mill west of Ontario. Keremeos is located near Osoyoos, British Columbia. The mill is one of the historical buildings featured on the Architectural Heritage of British Columbia website.
